How Much Is a Large Fry At Wendy’s?

If you’re thinking about ordering fries from Wendy’s but aren’t sure what size you want, you can easily do the math to figure out exactly how much you’ll spend on each size of fry.

We took the time to figure out how much each size of fry costs at Wendy’s, and with the help of this guide, you can quickly determine which size of fries will cost you the least amount of money.

You can then choose to buy that size so that you don’t accidentally spend more than you meant to!

Calories in One Large Fry at Wendy’s

Because it doesn’t contain any vegetables, one large fry from Wendy’s (which is about 150 grams) contains more than half of your recommended daily intake of fat. The fat content in one large order is 97 grams.

It also contains an alarming amount of sodium: 1,270 milligrams. That’s almost as much as three bags of Lay’s Classic potato chips! And let’s not forget that all that salt will make you thirsty, which means you’ll probably be ordering a drink to wash down those fries.

A large soda at Wendy’s has 39 grams of sugar and 280 calories—not to mention 10 teaspoons of sugar! You might want to pass on dessert if you plan on eating fast food today. One Oreo Cookie Shake at Wendy’s has 400 calories and 26 grams of sugar.

If you eat two large orders of fries with a large soda and Oreo shake for lunch, you could end up consuming 2,190 calories and 106 grams of fat—that’s twice what you should consume in an entire day!

Does Wendy’s have $1 fries?

It doesn’t. But you can get large fries for $1, which may not seem like a great deal until you realize just how big their large fries are.

This is one of those food deals that gets better as it goes along. Here’s what each size fry will cost you at Wendy’s $0.99: small – 4 oz., $1.29: medium – 5 oz., and $1.69: large – 6 oz.. Which size do you think gives you more bang for your buck?

If you guessed large, then we have some good news for you! You’re right! If you’re trying to make your dollar stretch as far as possible, order a large fry and load up on ketchup packets (which cost 20 cents each).

What comes with Wendy’s 4 for $4?

In keeping with industry trends, fast-food restaurants have been adding more sides to their value meals over time. When Wendy’s introduced its 4 for $4 menu in July, it raised eyebrows for what was actually included in that price.

A cheeseburger, small fries, 4-piece nuggets and medium drink may seem like an odd combination of items; we set out to see just how much of each item one could expect to get with that deal. The results were not encouraging.

What size fries does Wendy’s have?

There are five options at Wendy’s. The smallest size is called Junior and is 3 ounces. The next size up is Small, which weighs in at 5 ounces.

Then there’s Medium, weighing in at 7 ounces; Large, which has 9 ounces of fries; and finally, there are 11-ounce servings called Super Size Fries. (No one would ever order a Super Size.) It’s important to note that all sizes of fries at Wendy’s come with salt already added.

If you want to add more salt, you can request it from your server or just shake some on yourself. Just kidding. Don’t do that. Ever heard of sodium poisoning? That’s not something you want to mess around with, no matter how delicious salty French fries might be.

Are Wendy’s fries real potatoes?

Potatoes are actually present in three different forms at Wendy’s. The largest portion of them is boiled, not fried. Besides these cut potatoes, they also have partially-fried fries they cook once before service and then re-fry just before serving (this gives them their distinctive crispy exterior).

Finally, they have frozen fries that are fully cooked and flash-frozen—they’re ready to go into their fryers.

How unhealthy are Wendy’s fries?

The average large order of french fries contains 1,320 calories, and that’s not even including ketchup. Add in some ketchup, and you’ve got yourself a meal with over 2,000 calories. While fries are delicious, they are also very unhealthy.

A large order of McDonald’s fries is only 530 calories, which is less than half of what Wendy’s provides. Even Burger King offers healthier options than Wendy’s.

Their large fries contain 670 calories, which is nearly as much as McDonald’s but still lower in fat and sodium content. If you want to eat healthy at fast-food restaurants, it might be best to avoid fried foods altogether or just stick to small orders of french fries instead of large ones.
